Description: The original image is from an iconic World War II propaganda poster which used the image of a young female factory worker flexing her muscles, to boost morale amongst factory workers. I repurposed the image due to its recognizability and original message by turning it into an anti-war image, poster. The image is a woodblock with hand coloring and text stenciling. Each piece is unique as I paint and stencil according to the color combination a client will order. The image is cut from plywood and then printed on 300gsm synthetic paper. A number of proofs were publicly posted around London. When selecting a print to purchase ensure to describe which text combination you would like to purchase.
