RUN AND JAC Printmaking Collaboration between Giacomo aka RUN and master printmaker, Jonathan Comerford

Master printmaker Jonathan Comerford invited Italian artist RUN to introduce him to printmaking and produce a series of limited editioned silkscreens and silkscreen monoprints. The artist had never before engaged in printmaking so Jonathan invited RUN to collaborate on a series of works over some time to translate his mural orientated size images to a smaller, accessible size.

RUN is an international muralist and installation who is respected both in the international muralist community and galleries for his very particular brand/style of drawing, painting, and installation image-making.

The collaboration culminated in a series of prints of different imagery.

The heads portfolio. This is a series of multicolour silkscreen/ monoprint combinations each being different in colour yet maintaining the same portrait head.

Monument. This was a single monochromatic silkscreen. The artist used the same technique as he deployed to produce the Tail series of prints.

The Tail. This was a series of silkscreen prints made up of two colours. The images were created by the artist using the sponge rollers he would use in his mural paintings. He was encouraged to use the same if not similar technique and tools he would use when making a mural.
